Your workspace is your school's private area on Lernmark. Creating it is the first thing you do. It takes a few minutes and does not require any payment to begin.
Already have a workspace?
If someone at your school has already signed up, you do not need to create a new workspace. Ask them to invite you instead, then skip to Log in, roles and your dashboard.
Step 1: Open the sign-up page
From the Lernmark website, choose Get started. This opens a short setup wizard titled "Start your free trial." A wizard is a form split into a few simple steps, shown one at a time. A progress bar at the top shows how far along you are.
Step 2: Choose an edition
The first step is "Choose an edition." An edition (also called a plan) decides which features your workspace includes. For Teacher Evaluation, any edition that includes evaluation will do.
Pick the edition that fits your school and continue. You can change your edition later, so this is not a permanent decision.
Not sure which edition?
Start with the smallest edition that includes evaluation. You can always upgrade once you know you need more.
Step 3: Enter your details
The next step is "Your details." Here you tell Lernmark about your school and about yourself. You will typically enter:
- Institution name: your school's name, as you want it to appear.
- Institution type: the kind of school you are (for example, a university, a secondary school, or a training center). This helps Lernmark use the right wording for your setting.
- Your name: the person creating the workspace.
- Your email address: this becomes your login name and where notifications are sent.
- A password: choose a strong one. You will use it to log in.
The person who creates the workspace becomes its first administrator: the role with permission to set everything up.
Step 4: Confirm your email
The final step is "Confirm your email." Lernmark sends a message to the email address you entered. Open that email and follow the confirmation link to prove the address is yours. This protects your workspace from being set up by someone using your email by mistake.
Can't find the email?
Check your spam or junk folder. If it still has not arrived after a few minutes, you can ask the sign-up screen to send it again.
What happens next
Once your email is confirmed, your workspace opens and you are taken to the administrator dashboard: your home screen for everything that follows. Your free trial starts automatically; no card is needed to begin.
