Setup questions
A student cannot see an evaluation they should have
Usually one of three things is missing:
- The student is not enrolled in that class section; check the Enrollments tab in the Student registry.
- The offering has no teacher assigned, so there is nothing to evaluate; see Set up courses and teaching.
- Participants were not generated after the enrollment changed: reopen the campaign and generate participants again.
My roster import did not work
Check that your file matches the format the Import tab expects, that every student has a matricule, and that there are no blank rows. Fix the file and import again. Students that imported successfully are not duplicated when you re-import.
A teacher cannot be assigned to a class
A teacher must have accepted their invitation before they can be assigned. Check the Teachers screen to confirm they have joined, and resend the invitation if needed. See Add your teachers.
I cannot publish my campaign
Make sure the campaign has a template, an academic session, and valid opens on and closes on dates, and that the template is active rather than a draft. See Create and launch a campaign.
While it is running
Participation is low
Send reminders from the campaign, and consider turning on Auto notifications. A nudge a day or two before the deadline is the most effective. See Monitor and moderate.
Comments are not showing in reports
Comments pass through moderation first. Check the Moderation tab and approve the items you want to appear.
Reading results
The analytics screen looks empty, or an average is blank
This is normal in two situations: no responses have arrived yet, or the class is still below the anonymity threshold, so results are withheld to protect students. The figure appears on its own once enough students respond.
Withheld is a feature, not a fault
Hidden results for small classes are deliberate. They stop anyone being identified from a handful of answers. There is no setting to force them open, by design.
A teacher says their results are missing
The same threshold applies to the teacher's own view. Their results appear once their class reaches the minimum number of responses. See What teachers see.
Common questions
Can students see each other's answers?
No. Students only see their own list of evaluations and their own answers.
Can a student change an answer after submitting?
Once an evaluation is submitted it is complete. Answers are saved as the student works, so they will not lose progress before submitting.
Will teachers know who said what?
Not in Strict anonymity mode. Teachers see the feedback but not names, and results are hidden entirely for very small classes.
Do I have to rebuild everything next term?
No. Your structure, teachers, courses, and templates carry over. Each term you mainly update enrollments and create a new campaign.
