Teacher Evaluation

Log in, roles & your dashboard

This page explains how to get back into your workspace, the different kinds of users, and what you will see when you arrive.

How to log in

Lernmark has two login doors, because staff and students identify themselves differently.

Administrators and teachers use Log in. You enter the email address and password you set up. If your school uses single sign-on (logging in with an existing school account), you may see a button for that instead: use it if your school has asked you to.

Students use Student log in. Students do not use an email address. Instead they enter:

  • School code: a short code that identifies your school. You give this to your students.
  • Matricule: the student's own identity number at your school (sometimes called a student ID or registration number).
  • Password: the password the student set when they activated their account.

Where students get their password

Students set their own password the first time they log in, using a one-time code you give them. This is covered in Add students and access codes and in What students see and do.

The three roles

A role decides what a person can see and do. Teacher Evaluation uses three:

RoleWho they areWhat they do
AdministratorStaff who run the school on LernmarkSet up the school, build and launch evaluations, read all reports
TeacherThe people being evaluatedSee feedback about their own classes once results are ready
StudentThe people giving feedbackAnswer the evaluation questions, anonymously

There can be more than one administrator. A larger school might also give some administrators a narrower view (for example, limited to one department) so they only manage their own area. What each person sees always depends on their role; this is not something a student or teacher can change.

Your administrator dashboard

When an administrator logs in, they land on the dashboard: a home screen that summarizes the state of your school and links to everything else. From here you can reach academic setup, people, evaluations, and analytics.

You do not have to understand every panel right away. The rest of this guide takes you to each area in the order you will need it.

Getting around

The main navigation stays with you as you move between screens, so you can always return to the dashboard or jump to another area. If a feature is not part of your edition, it simply will not appear.

What you achieved

  • You know how staff and students each log in.
  • You understand the three roles and who sees what.
  • You know where your dashboard is and that it is your starting point.
