Attendance

Attendance is the daily record of which students were present. Lernmark lets teachers take it for their own classes and administrators oversee it across the school. Open Attendance from the dashboard.

Availability

Attendance is included on some editions. If it does not appear, it is not part of your current plan.

Taking attendance

The screen is described as: "Take and correct daily attendance for a course offering." ("Offering" is the specific class taught this session; see Courses and timetable.) To take attendance:

  1. Choose the class and the date.
  2. Mark each student present or absent.
  3. Save. The record is stored against that class and day.

Teachers see only the classes they teach; administrators can see attendance across the school.

Correcting a record

Mistakes happen: a student arrives late, or a mark was wrong. You can reopen a past day and correct it. The record updates to reflect the correction, so your registers stay accurate.

A daily habit

Attendance is most useful when it is taken every day. Building it into the start of each class keeps the record complete and trustworthy.

Why attendance matters here

Because attendance sits on the same platform as your students, classes, and results, the picture stays joined up: the same student record carries their enrollment, attendance, grades, and fees. You do not keep a separate register somewhere else.

What you achieved

  • Teachers can take daily attendance for their classes.
  • Administrators can oversee attendance across the school.
  • Past records can be corrected to stay accurate.
