Communications lets you send announcements to the right people, delivered as in-app notifications: messages that appear inside Lernmark when the recipient logs in. Open Announcements from the dashboard, described as: "Compose announcements and deliver them as in-app notifications to a targeted audience."
Send an announcement
- Compose the announcement: a title and the message.
- Choose the audience. You can target by role, department, or class, or send to specific people, so the message reaches only those who need it.
- Send. Recipients see the notification inside Lernmark.
Aim narrowly
Sending only to the people affected keeps announcements useful. If every message goes to everyone, people start ignoring them.
Where announcements appear
Recipients see announcements in their notifications when they log in. Time-based items (like a term boundary or a due date) can also surface on the calendar, so people can see what is coming.
