Analytics

Because your whole school runs on one platform, Analytics can show trends across all of it in one place. Open Analytics from the dashboard, described as: "Trends and breakdowns across finance, academics, teaching, and students."

What you can look at

Analytics is organized into areas, each shown only if it is part of your edition and your role allows it:

  • Finance: how billing and collection are trending, including what has been billed, collected, and is still outstanding. Ties back to Finance and fees.
  • Academics: patterns across programs, levels, and courses.
  • Teaching / Evaluations: the evaluation results, covered in depth in Read your analytics.
  • Attendance: attendance patterns across classes, drawn from Attendance.

You see only your areas

Each area appears only when your role and edition include it. If an area is missing, it is not part of your current setup, not an error.

Reading analytics well

  • Check the size behind a number. A rate based on a few records is less reliable than one based on many.
  • Watch direction over time, not a single figure. Trends tell you more than one snapshot.
  • Use analytics to ask questions, then confirm the detail on the underlying screen: finance figures on the Finance screen, attendance on the attendance register, and so on.

Evaluation figures stay anonymous

Where analytics includes evaluation, the same protection applies: results for very small groups are withheld so no student can be identified. See What teachers see.

What you achieved

  • You know which areas Analytics can show.
  • You can read the figures fairly and know their limits.
  • You know where to confirm the detail behind each number.
